Welcome to my new series – Back2Basics with Apple Business Manager (ABM). On this short post I will show you how to add your own domain to ABM. Next posts will be related to the basic configuration of ABM and connecting it to Intune!
I already published some post about ABM – like this one with issue during usage of ABM, but – first, you need to know how to configure it to start working with that 🙂
In general, if you want to know what ABM is – you can read this website. It’s official Apple documentation, so you will learn everything, but I want to show you that knowledge in a nut.
So, I assume that you already have your D-U-N-S number. If not, visit this website from Apple to know how to request it.
In my case, I will be using my own domain – mvplab.top.
To add own domain, open ABM > Organization on left bottom > Preferences > Accounts > Domains > Edit and start adding your own domain.

I will type my domain and continue. Now I got the information that I need to Verify this domain.

It should be done via TXT record in your DNS registrant.

After some time – you can check if the record was properly propagated and you should see information that your new domain is properly registered for Managed Identities in Apple.

If you did that – you can go to the next post – Federated Authentication which will allow your end-users to log on to the Managed Apple Identity via your own, corporate accounts.
